serve as a single point authoritative technical contact in rotating turbine components throughout the business including suppliers, sub-suppliers and field support
drive innovation & stay current with relevant technologies, regulations, and industry trends by attending conferences and interfacing with academia
maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art in turbine rotating components to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for introduction
interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project execution
drive problem resolution across disciplines, identifying risks & mitigations to the system level
identify and implement process improvements thru Lean and Artificial Intelligence to improve safety, quality and cost of products
assist identifying skill gaps within the rotating turbine components and recommend training sessions to address these gaps
develop breadth by interfacing directly with adjacent functional teams to drive system level understanding and solutions
mentor and coach next generation engineers; facilitate knowledge sharing across teams
lead the development of technical standards, best practices, design practices and process improvements

Requirements
major experience in Engineering/Technology & Services Engineering
Knowledge level is comparable to a Master’s degree from an accredited university or college
Demonstrated expertise in subject matter area
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
