Senior Structural Analyst – Lunar Permanence

Role Overview

• Own structural analysis from requirements definition through qualification
• Develop, maintain, execute, and validate finite element models (FEM)
• Perform structural assessments for environments including quasi-static and inertial loads
• Create and review stress reports and certification artifacts
• Partner with manufacturing and test to define test requirements
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to improving team standards

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or related field (M.S. preferred)
• 8+ years of professional experience performing structural/stress analysis for spacecraft, aircraft, or similarly rigorous hardware
• Strong proficiency with FEM development and structural analysis methods
• Experience with one or more of the following analysis software: Patran/Nastran, Ansys, Femap, Abaqus, Hyperworks, LS-Dyna
• Experience creating and modifying geometry in CAD programs (preferably Creo)
• Experience producing clear technical documentation and presenting results at design reviews
