strong expertise in distributed systems and real-time, high-throughput, low-latency platforms
significant and demonstrable experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance
Deep hands-on knowledge of microservices, event-driven patterns, cloud platforms such as AWS, container orchestration as Kubernetes, and modern API frameworks
Proven delivery experience in large-scale platform engineering or architectural leadership roles
Strong understanding of performance engineering, resilience patterns, observability, and operational excellence
Ability to influence at senior levels and lead without formal authority
