Senior Engineer, Construction Management

Role Overview

• Oversee, support and improve construction QA/QC practices
• Conduct independent audits of internal and external fabrication and pipeline welding
• Provide technical support and recommendations by applying engineering principles
• Support the development and optimization of corporate design standards
• Evaluate, develop, recommend and implement new welding technology, products, procedures, processes and specifications
• Maintain an awareness of industry developments and best practices
• Provide mentorship to department team members in the execution of safe construction activities

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial preferred, others may be considered)
• Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan
• Eight (8) years of progressive engineering experience related to the construction of pipeline and compression facilities in the oil and gas industry
• A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
• Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships
• Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning
• A Class 5 Driver’s License is required
• CWB Inspector Level 2 is preferred
