Own all Transactional accounts in an assigned geography and represent the entire LGC Standards product portfolio at new and existing customers, across all end-markets such as Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.
Identify and close new prospect opportunities, generated from a combination of prospecting and qualification in collaboration with our marketing department or self-generated leads
Actively engage with customers via email, phone calls and online meetings to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow-up on quotations and drive new sales
Use LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, close opportunities and conduct ongoing territory planning
Close cooperation with marketing to launch new products and the core end-market team to identify competitor activity and trends
Be responsible for the daily management of relevant service cloud cases, ensuring tasks are dealt with and a proper response time is guaranteed
Requirements
MSc in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related subject area (blend of educational qualifications and experience will be reviewed)
Proven experience in selling technical products used in laboratories
Successful track record in account management
Proficiency in customer relationship management platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
In-depth knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics
Strong English communication skills. Additional languages are an asset
Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
