Establish and own the enterprise Operations Compliance Program across all sites.
Develop standardized compliance frameworks, processes, and enforcement mechanisms.
Ensure consistent execution of compliance requirements across all markets.
Serve as the single point of accountability for Operations-related compliance risk.
Build centralized visibility into compliance status, risks, and gaps across the portfolio.
Own all air quality permitting requirements across the portfolio, including permit acquisition, renewals, and modifications.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local air quality regulations and permit conditions.
Implement and standardize generator hour tracking, emissions tracking, and environmental reporting processes.
Monitor generator usage against permitted limits and proactively mitigate risk of exceedances.
Lead regulatory reporting, including emissions inventories, deviation reports, and required filings.
Ensure all facilities maintain required operating permits and remain compliant with jurisdictional requirements.
Track permit conditions, renewal timelines, and regulatory obligations across all sites.
Develop centralized systems to monitor compliance status in real time.
Partner with site leadership to ensure adherence to all permit conditions and regulatory requirements.
Own compliance with customer contractual obligations related to operations and maintenance execution.
Ensure vendor scopes, service delivery, and maintenance practices align with contractual requirements and SLAs.
Establish validation processes to confirm contracted work is executed correctly and consistently.
Identify gaps between contracted scope and actual execution, and drive corrective actions.
Develop and implement a standardized compliance audit program across all sites.
Conduct regular audits of environmental, regulatory, and contractual compliance.
Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide real-time compliance visibility.
Lead investigation of compliance deviations, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in environmental compliance management, with a strong emphasis on air quality regulations and permitting.
Demonstrated experience managing air permits for industrial or commercial facilities, particularly those with standby generators.
Proven experience in developing and implementing data tracking systems for environmental compliance.
In-depth knowledge of EPA, and local air quality regulations.
Proficiency in environmental data management software and strong advanced Excel skills.
Familiarity with SCADA/DCiM systems or other remote monitoring technologies for generator data collection is a plus.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
