About this role
Role Overview
- Serve as a member of the Global IA Center of Excellence, facilitating and supporting Independence Assessments
- Provide consultation services for independence assessments, including responding to both formal and informal requests
- Stay up-to-date on developments related to independence assessments by actively participating in the Global IA community
- Collaborate with global and territory contacts to discuss independence-related developments
- Support communication and distribution of Independence Assessment knowledge and training to XLOS firm personnel
- Interact with other relevant functional groups such as Risk Management and ARQ to develop integrated, quality services
- Assist in the development and implementation of the overall transformation strategy, including change management plans
- Coaching and development of independence office team members
Requirements
- Experience in a managerial role, with demonstrated knowledge of PwC and its suite of services
- Thorough understanding of independence rules, including SEC, UK PIE, EU PIE, and PwC Global Independence Policy entity restrictions
- Proven experience with complex entity structures, such as private equity arrangements and investment companies
- Comprehensive knowledge of both Firm-specific and Canadian Independence rules
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of independence rules
- Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation is an asset but not required
