About this role
Role Overview
Serve as a key technical leader within the Enterprise Capital Engineering organization
Drive the development and execution of capital projects using KC NA Project Management Practices
Provide leadership by example in safety, ethics, quality, regulatory, and sustainability
Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding
Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and external service providers
Maintain technical expertise and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark
Prepare and implement unit budgets and schedules
Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products and processes
Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets
Lead project documentation activities and follow PMP documentation requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant discipline
10+ years of related technical experience in mill, production or manufacturing operations and/or capital project management
Key technology areas include: Tissue Manufacturing, Tissue Converting, Wipes Manufacturing & Converting
Demonstrated proficiency with Mechanical Engineering competencies such as Project Management, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Machine/Prototype Design, Engineering Economics, Stress Analysis, Dynamic Systems, Heat Transfer/Thermodynamics, Computer Analysis/Simulation, Fluid Mechanics, Material Science
Strong fundamentals in engineering systems and tools to drive technical innovation
Able to teach mechanical & technical competencies and project management skills to junior engineers
Proven ability to establish strong, effective cross-functional networks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments
Ability to lead and direct a diverse team to successfully meet business objectives.
