Plan, organize and execute socio-environmental actions outlined in project work plans across areas such as education, environment, health, social communication, land tenure negotiations, involuntary resettlement and local development, among others;
Mobilize community members for activities required to implement projects and coordinate the inter-institutional engagement necessary for project success;
Prepare studies and/or reports describing the social, economic and environmental conditions of project target communities;
Conduct household visits and family profile assessments for inclusion in socio-environmental programs;
Monitor socio-economic and environmental indicators for assigned projects;
Support the development of participatory and inclusive methodologies in community consultations for project implementation;
Assist in organizing and facilitating public hearings for client project approvals;
Mediate discussions between communities and clients to address project-related issues;
Engage with affected communities, provide information about projects and planned actions, organize meetings, collect documentation and identify specific needs;
Perform internal (office) tasks such as organizing field materials, preparing reports and work control spreadsheets, planning activities and providing team training;
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences (Social Sciences, Economics, Geography) or a related field.
Previous experience in projects involving community engagement and the implementation of research.
Solid experience in data management and socio-economic indicators.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences.
Valid category B driver’s license (CNH B) and at least 2 years of driving experience required.
Residence in São Paulo (or the metropolitan area).
