About this role
Role Overview
Resolve complex Banner issues escalated from Administrator I and functional teams
Manage module configuration changes with proper testing, documentation, and rollback planning
Lead testing and validation efforts during Ellucian SaaS release cycles and configuration changes
Monitor and optimize job scheduling, automation workflows, and batch processes
Build, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations between Banner and campus systems using Ethos APIs and Data Connect
Implement and maintain Ethos-based integrations connecting Banner to LMS, CRM, Financial Aid systems, and third-party vendors
Collaborate with the data team to ensure accurate data feeds to downstream systems (e.g., Snowflake environments)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
4–6 years of Ellucian Banner experience, with exposure to the SaaS platform ecosystem
Working knowledge of Ellucian Ethos, including API-based integrations and the Ethos Data Model
Experience with Ethos Data Connect for building and maintaining data pipelines and automated workflows
Familiarity with Ellucian Experience configuration and administration
Strong SQL proficiency including complex joins, query optimization, and data validation
Familiarity with database structures within Banner for troubleshooting and operational support
Experience managing SaaS release testing cycles and configuration change management
Understanding of higher education regulatory compliance (FERPA, GLBA preferred)
Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python desirable.
