About this role
Role Overview
- Develop/revise new and existing engineering specifications, processes and procedures that support the manufacturing of carbon fiber reinforced composite structures:
- Process Specifications
- Material Specifications
- Tooling Specifications
- Tooling Design, manufacturing and Geometry Buy-Off via modeling software
- Production/Manufacturing Planning
- Develop detailed cost models and provide Cost Out concepts
- Own and drive the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.
- Support of business reviews and provide technical insight into manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline is required.
- A combination of experience and education may also be considered.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering relating to composite structures and/or other aerospace structures is required.
- This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.
- Experience in manufacturing and engineering technology
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods
- SAP experience is desired
- Modeling software experience
