Develop/revise new and existing engineering specifications, processes and procedures that support the manufacturing of carbon fiber reinforced composite structures:
Process Specifications
Material Specifications
Tooling Specifications
Tooling Design, manufacturing and Geometry Buy-Off via modeling software
Production/Manufacturing Planning
Develop detailed cost models and provide Cost Out concepts
Own and drive the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.
Support of business reviews and provide technical insight into manufacturing.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline is required.
A combination of experience and education may also be considered.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering relating to composite structures and/or other aerospace structures is required.
This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.
Experience in manufacturing and engineering technology
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods
SAP experience is desired
Modeling software experience
