Serve as the first point of contact for Salesforce support requests, resolving common issues and escalating complex problems to the Administrator II
Triage and resolve incoming Salesforce support tickets from enrollment, student success, marketing, and other functional teams
Troubleshoot user-reported issues including page layout problems, data discrepancies, report errors, and access problems
Document issue resolution steps and update the team knowledge base
Escalate complex or recurring issues with clear documentation to the Administrator II
Perform routine system configurations and manage user access under established governance standards
Process user account creation, profile assignments, permission set changes, and role hierarchy updates aligned with security policies
Execute routine configuration changes including field additions, page layout updates, list views, and report/dashboard modifications
Assist with periodic access reviews and permission audits to support compliance requirements
Manage basic data maintenance tasks including record updates, imports, and deduplication as directed
Support the day-to-day use of Education Cloud by functional teams, learning the platform’s data model and student lifecycle workflows
Assist users with Education Cloud navigation, record management, and reporting within recruitment and admissions workflows
Support basic configuration tasks within Education Cloud objects under Administrator II guidance
Help test new Education Cloud features, Flows, and automation during release cycles
Build familiarity with the Education Data Architecture (EDA) data model and key student lifecycle objects
Support CRM data quality and build awareness of how Salesforce connects to other institutional systems
Execute assigned data cleanup, deduplication, and record hygiene tasks within Salesforce
Monitor integration dashboards and flag data sync anomalies between Salesforce and connected systems to the Administrator II or data team
Help validate data accuracy across integrated systems as part of routine checks
Build foundational understanding of how Salesforce connects to Banner, the data warehouse, and other campus platforms
Maintain operational documentation and actively develop skills across the Salesforce ecosystem
Participate in Salesforce Trailhead, vendor training, and community resources
Collaborate with functional departments to understand business processes and build institutional knowledge that supports your growth toward Administrator II
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
1–3 years of Salesforce administration experience preferred
Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred (or obtained within 12 months of hire)
Basic understanding of Salesforce data structures, objects, fields, and relationships
Foundational knowledge of Salesforce Flow and declarative automation concepts
Awareness of Salesforce Education Cloud or Education Data Architecture (EDA) a plus
Basic familiarity with Marketing Cloud concepts (data extensions, journeys, email sends) a plus
Understanding of user access management including profiles, permission sets, and roles
Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Awareness of higher education regulatory compliance (FERPA, GLBA) preferred
Strong communication skills and a growth mindset with genuine interest in building deeper CRM platform skills
