Lead the design, infrastructure architecture, and deployment of the new VSN Platform core within AWS to support the new platform for our ERP and HRM package suits project's success.
Engineer and oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure the new platform is scalable, automated, and follows global best practices.
Ensure the continuous availability and resilience of mission-critical Visma.net Platform (ODP) databases and core services within AWS.
Manage the lifecycle of legacy services, leading the sunsetting and decommissioning processes as we migrate capabilities to the new platform.
Design and implement comprehensive observability frameworks, including real-time telemetry, logging, and alerting, to ensure proactive health management of both the new platform and ODP services.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role can compensate for lack of degree
Hands-on experience of at least 5 years with AWS, including a deep understanding of services such as EC2, Fargate, ECS, RDS, S3, API Gateway, ALB, WAF
Expertise with Linux servers of at least 3 years, including strong experience with system administration, configuration, and optimization
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker
Expertise in infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or similar
Experience with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS Code build, AWS Code pipeline, Jenkins)
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Strong knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall configurations
Hands-on experience with cloud-native database management (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora)
