Serve as day-to-day counsel to HOA and COA boards across Florida
Provide guidance on governance, budgeting, reserves, and operational decision-making
Deliver clear, practical legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters
Draft, review, and amend governing documents, including Declarations, Bylaws, and Rules
Support developer turnover and assist in structuring community associations
Conduct document audits and recommend updates to align with current law
Stay current on Florida community association law and regulatory changes
Translate legal updates into actionable guidance for clients
Help associations maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Assist with covenant enforcement matters and pre-litigation processes
Support litigation efforts, including drafting demands, pleadings, and motions
Guide assessment collection strategies alongside the firm’s collections team.
Requirements
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar
2–5 years of legal experience, with exposure to community association law, real estate, or litigation
Strong drafting skills across legal documents, contracts, and/or litigation materials
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, structured guidance
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
Professional, direct communication style with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Florida community association law (transactional or litigation), Familiarity with developer turnover, governance structuring, or document amendments, Exposure to covenant enforcement, collections, or related litigation.
