Role Overview
- Provide technical expertise to translate pricing methodologies into implementable rating specifications to the new rating engine
- Guide and review premium reconciliation of new vs legacy engine premiums, quantify impacts, explain drivers and document acceptable differences
- Coach and guide others on new rate engine pricing implementation best practices
- Lead the team through modernizing premium-setting and rate delivery processes (simplified workflows, governance, documentation, approvals)
Requirements
- University degree in Actuarial Sciences or closely related field
- 7+ years in a P&C Actuarial function
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Proficiency and interest in programming, notably with SQL, R and/or Python
- Advanced analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Autonomous and resilient; shows initiative and creativity in their work
- Prior experience with Predictive Modeling is an asset
- Prior experience with modern rating engine migration is an asset
- FCIA/FCAS completed or at least 7+ Casualty Actuarial Society professional exams
