Lead design efforts for the analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems
Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards
Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports
Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively
Provide in-process design reviews of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems design, calculations, and specifications
Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements
Provide technical training and mentoring
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field or equivalent required
7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR
Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles relating to electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols
Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays
