Provide day-to-day administrative support, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and document management
Support overall office management, including ordering and maintaining office supplies, coordinating catering and team lunches, and preparing meeting spaces
Assist in coordinating meetings, events, and conferences, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with participants
Support the preparation of internal and external materials such as reports, presentations, briefing notes, and correspondence
Maintain organized records, files, and administrative systems to ensure efficiency and accessibility
Assist with research on sector-related topics, organizational needs, and emerging issues
Support cross-departmental tasks and special projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Provide general administrative support across teams, including note-taking, task tracking, and follow-ups
Ensure confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Requirements
Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies or a recent graduate (within the past year)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Interest in humanitarian work and alignment with Penny Appeal Canada’s mission and values
Previous administrative or office experience is an asset but not required
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (international students are not eligible).
