Identify and ensure compliance with international technical standards (e.g., ISO, OECD) and relevant national regulations (EPA, USDA, or state-specific) for plant protection sprayers and related agricultural machinery in all relevant sales markets and national jurisdictions.
Monitor & follow up in the certification process for plant protection sprayers and related agricultural machinery in all relevant sales markets and national jurisdictions.
Liaise with testing bodies, regulatory agencies, and certification organizations.
Support the development of user documentation, compliance reports, and internal SOPs.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on equipment standards and application best practices.
Requirements
Option A: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Option B: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, ideally with specialization in agricultural law, environmental law, product compliance, or regulatory affairs
10+ years’ hands-on experience with crop protection equipment, application systems, or regulatory compliance
Key Certification Areas to Be Familiar With: Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, Ergonomics and Chemical handling, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Periodic inspection requirements, Road safety standards, Cybersecurity regulations, Artificial Intelligence (AI) regulatory compliance
10+ years’ experience working with or within regulatory bodies (e.g., EPA, USDA, EU institutions) or certification entities
Familiarity with international equipment testing protocols (ISO 16122 or similar)
Understanding of U.S. and other international agricultural regulatory frameworks (EPA pesticide use, USDA equipment guidelines – a plus)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Willingness to travel (≈20%) to conferences/workshops mainly in North America, Oceania and Europe.
