About this role
Role Overview
Supervision of ecological construction monitoring (öBB) on complex construction projects in the areas of water management and infrastructure
Monitoring compliance with nature conservation and species protection requirements during detailed planning and throughout the entire construction phase
Informing and advising construction contractors and on-site construction supervisors about relevant nature conservation requirements, e.g.: protected and exclusion zones, species of special concern, protection and avoidance measures
Preparation of environmental and nature-conservation-related plans and reports, in particular: species protection assessments and landscape management accompanying plans (LMP)
Requirements
Successfully completed degree in Biology, Landscape Planning, Landscape Ecology or a comparable field
Professional experience in ecological construction supervision
Proof of / a certificate in environmental construction supervision (e.g., DWA, Umweltinstitut Offenbach) desirable
Solid knowledge of relevant nature conservation laws and regulations, technical understanding and basic knowledge of ArcGIS
Good knowledge of flora and fauna, especially planning-relevant species (breeding birds, amphibians, bats, etc.)
Confident use of GIS and standard MS Office software
Conflict-resolution skills and an independent, structured, target-oriented way of working
Team-player with excellent communication skills
Fluent German (min. C1) and very good English skills
Valid driving license (car)
