Identify, prospect, and engage national, regional, and mid-sized CPA firms (5+ CPAs) aligned with the firm’s target client profile
Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to CPA decision-makers, including Managing Partners, Tax Partners, and Advisory Leaders
Present and position the firm’s referral program, emphasizing client outcomes, revenue opportunity, and compliance integrity
Conduct discovery meetings to assess strategic alignment and long-term partnership potential
Build long-term, trusted relationships with CPA firm leadership and key partners
Serve as the primary liaison between CPA firms and internal advisory and leadership teams
Facilitate onboarding and integration of new CPA partners into the referral ecosystem
Develop joint business development initiatives and co-marketing opportunities
Partner with leadership to refine referral program structure, messaging, and incentives
Track, analyze, and report KPIs including partner acquisition, referral flow, conversion rates, and revenue contribution
Identify accounting industry trends and adapt partnership strategies accordingly
Ensure all referral arrangements comply with SEC and state regulatory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
10+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within financial services, RIA, asset management, CPA firms, or professional services
Demonstrated success sourcing, closing, and growing strategic partnerships
Strong understanding of the RIA model and wealth management industry
Experience engaging CPAs, accounting firms, or professional services organizations
FINRA licenses (Series 7/63/65/66) or willingness to obtain, if applicable
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
Familiarity with Salesforce and Workday preferred
