Oversee a team of 10 engineers who build and support the IMPaCT software application
Serve as the primary on-shore production engineer
Help triage bug fixes on the prod environment, and support DevOps and Customer Enablement teams in troubleshooting issues with customer data, SSO, or sFTP
Guide the design and architecture of all new solutions
Establish, apply, and audit design principles and coding standards to ensure robustness and HIPAA compliance
Partner closely with the Product team to translate business requirements into a technical roadmap
Drive project progress via JIRA and take accountability for engineering velocity and documentation quality
Ensure that we deliver high quality software and maintain/extend the tooling that tests, monitors, and scales our systems
Lead a small team of security and IT professionals to maintain IMPaCT’s strong security stance
Lead the execution of our EHR interoperability
Ensure the technology budget meets business needs through effective prioritization and optimization
Manage vendor relationships to maximize value and minimize unnecessary spend
Guide tech strategy (including AI adoption) with a balance of innovation and fiscal responsibility

3+ years experience in Engineering leadership in the healthcare space, preferably in a startup
Experience within our tech stack: AWS-hosted microservice architecture, Java/Springboot, React, PostgreSQL
Experience implementing integrations between health systems and EHRs
Experience with building and supporting cloud-hosted, microservice architectures
A security-first mindset with application development and cloud infrastructure
Expertise with modern development practices, such as automated testing, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, unit testing, and vulnerability scanning
Recent experience and comfort with being an individual contributor.
