Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all phases.
Develop audit plans, including risk assessments and audit strategies.
Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and support throughout engagements.
Review and evaluate internal controls, financial statements, and accounting records.
Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to clients to enhance their financial processes and controls.
Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the audit process.
Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Stay current with industry developments and changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
2 to 5 years of previous experience in public accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication
Good project management skills (ability to meet deadlines within agreed upon budget)
Professional attitude and ability to represent the firm brand
Must be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment
Ability to exercise professional humility
Give and receive constructive feedback
Ability to train, develop and supervise staff
A good sensor of humor is a plus!
Industry experience in (any or combination of) construction/contractor reviews, investment fund/broker dealer audits, HUD audits, Single Audits, EBP audits preferred
