Role Overview
- Leading a team of Claims Examiners on the Federal WC Claims team
- Directing activities consistent with the mission statement of AIG Claims, Inc.
- Ensuring understanding and administration of claim policies and practices
- Implementing procedures to achieve quality results
- Evaluating and measuring operational compliance with Claim Handling Guidelines
- Ensuring appropriate claim file reserving and payments
- Promoting customer service excellence through effective reports
- Implementing training and skills improvement initiatives
- Directing team in achieving business strategies and plans
Requirements
- Proven claims adjusting experience
- Extensive leadership experience within a claim technical operation
- In-depth understanding of Workers’ Compensation claim handling
- Specialist knowledge of Defense Base Act claims preferred
- Strong analytical skills with business acumen
- Ability to work across organization in matrix reporting relationships
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Technical expertise in one or more claim functions
