Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel across the full lifecycle of a product
Lead customer design-in activities, including system bring-up, debugging, and production issue resolution
Lead root-cause analysis of complex system-level customer issues across hardware, firmware, and silicon
Develop application notes, white papers, demo-board, and reference-design manuals
Develop demonstration platforms and reference designs, using PCB schematic tools and working with layout engineers
Develop firmware and RTL modules for customer reference and demonstration
Develop advanced Python code that effectively demonstrates the operation and capabilities of our products
Execute customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis
Contribute to next-generation mixed-signal product definition. Collaborate and communicate closely with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers and Validation engineers to understand and define design requirements and customer use cases. Operate with high autonomy in managing tasks and priorities, including communicating project status cross functionally
Travel approximately 2 weeks per year, domestically and abroad to support customer bring-up, winning designs, and onsite debugging
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
Demonstrate aptitude in system understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S and high speed control/data bus examples
Experience in component selection, schematic entry and knowledge of PCB layout design
Proficiency in scripting/programming language such as Verilog, C, Python, MATLAB or similar
Proficiency in version control methods and version control systems such as Git
Solid hands-on experience in lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Mixed-signal hardware and audio-related backgrounds are strongly preferred
