Manage projects from design to release, including project initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Identify necessary resources for projects and coordinate their allocation.
Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Engineering.
2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar tool is preferred.
Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets is preferred.
Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution is preferred.
Experience in resource planning and management during project execution is preferred.
Experience with risk management planning and documentation is preferred.
Familiarity with government contracting and regulations is preferred.
Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management) is preferred.
