You will further develop our backend systems in Java and Kotlin and optimize a successful business application
You will share responsibility for the software architecture of our backend systems
You will make key technical decisions for the system landscape
You will manage the build and deploy processes of the applications and handle the integration of additional tools
You will perform code reviews and ensure code and design quality
You will be the team's point of contact for subject-matter questions
You will work in an agile team on software products within a forward-looking market
Requirements
Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a university degree in an IT-related field, e.g., Applied Computer Science, or a comparable qualification
Minimum of 5 years' professional experience developing backend systems for web-based software
Solid knowledge of Linux
Fluent in Kotlin and/or Java
Deep understanding of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
Familiarity with various design patterns and the ability to apply them where appropriate
Ability to implement very complex requirements in a technically sound and cost-efficient manner
Passion for technology and commitment to developing first-class products
High level of reliability and sense of responsibility
Good communication skills and emphasis on positive team interaction
Desirable: experience with the Spring Framework, Spring Cloud tech stack, Gradle, Docker, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka
Also advantageous: knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular framework
