Participates in the execution and achievement of the Fifth Third Commercial Bank’s Asset Based Lending (ABL) strategic initiatives through day-to-day relationship management of a complex portfolio of ABL customers
Manages the ongoing credit risk of ABL relationships and participates in portfolio meetings
Develops and maintains external relationships with assigned customers
Independently attends client meetings with assigned clients
Works with manager on complex clients and workouts
Ensures ongoing customer satisfaction through managing loan structure and customer interface
Develops and maintains internal relationships with coverage team
Develops and executes appropriate strategies for problem clients without supervision
Maintains up to date trend cards/portfolio review forms, credit files and legal files
Notes negative trends early and strategizes best solutions for the bank
Monitors timeliness of reporting, tickler information and ensures accurate information for decisions
Focus on continuous learning to keep up with market dynamics
Mentors junior team members and performs additional job related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting)
8 years credit analysis and/or loan review experience in Commercial Banking
Minimum 6-7 years of experience in an Asset Based Lending environment, in underwriting or field examination, or as a loan officer; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Advanced analytical skills, critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills
Professional presence (client-facing)
Experience managing an advanced commercial client portfolio with a degree of complexity
Ability to partner with all deal stakeholders including clients, relationship manager and credit teams
Expertise in financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling
Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheet software
Proficient with technology and ability to learn new applications.
