About this role
Role Overview
Support advisers with the administration of residential, buy-to-let and remortgage applications, primarily at Pre-Offer stage.
Manage cases from fact-find through to offer and completion.
Liaise with clients to obtain supporting documentation including ID, income evidence, bank statements and property information.
Maintain accurate client records and pipeline updates within CRM systems.
Ensure all documentation is uploaded, tracked and processed within agreed service standards.
Act as a key point of contact with lenders, solicitors, surveyors and providers.
Chase outstanding documents, valuations, mortgage offers and completion updates.
Monitor case progress and proactively identify delays or issues.
Ensure all case files are maintained in line with FCA requirements and company compliance procedures.
Assist with file preparation for compliance review and audit purposes.
Support the team in maintaining Consumer Duty standards and positive client outcomes.
Assist in developing efficient workflows and mortgage processes as the department grows.
Provide support with pre-offer and re-mortgage processes using the mortgage sourcing systems (Iress and Indigo).
Prepare suitability documentation and client communications where required.
Support advisers with diary management, appointments and follow-up activity.
Work collaboratively with Private Wealth Adviser teams as and when needed to deliver integrated financial planning support.
Requirements
Previous experience in mortgage administration within a UK regulated environment.
Strong understanding of FCA mortgage processes and documentation requirements.
Experience supporting residential and/or buy-to-let mortgage cases.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Confident using CRM and Mortgage Sourcing systems.
Professional, client-focused and proactive approach.
Experience supporting expat, non-standard income or specialist lending cases (desirable).
Knowledge of Consumer Duty and FCA compliance expectations (desirable).
Experience working alongside financial advisers or wealth management professionals (desirable).
