About this role
Role Overview
- Support the infrastructure and platform layer of a modern AI-driven application
- Collaborate with U.S.-based teams on high-impact data systems in production
- Work independently on production data pipelines and troubleshoot live systems
- Take ownership in a small team environment with a focus on data quality and modeling
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform / Backend Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with: Apache Airflow (required)
- PostgreSQL (2–3+ years, including query optimization and performance tuning)
- Microsoft Azure (required)
- Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Strong Python skills for data processing and backend logic
- Experience working with production data pipelines and troubleshooting live systems
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality
- Experience integrating with APIs and external data sources
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a small team environment
- Strong communication skills and experience working with distributed teams
- Nice to have: Experience in healthcare data, claims processing, or similar domains
- Background in fintech or data-heavy platforms
- Experience supporting data-driven algorithms or pricing systems
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience working in fast-paced, production-heavy environments
