Responsible for designing, implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting the organizations laptop, desktop and VDI infrastructure.
Supports and maintains other key technologies and software supporting end user mobility, collaboration, and virtual desktops.
Lead the efforts in enhancing client technology user experiences.
Provide expertise in the delivery of new technologies in enhancing capabilities with collaboration and mobile workspace.
Establish, document and maintain policies, procedures and standards.
Effectively communicate with peers and other teams to report and resolve quality, hardware, software and operational issues.
Monitor the performance, security, and implement necessary changes in a timely and effective manner.
Assist in the development of strategies and solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
Responsible for building and maintaining an automated imaging process for desktops, laptops, and VDI environments.
Regularly apply upgrades and security patches for the associated operating systems, software and hardware in accordance to the organizations patch management philosophy.
Work collaboratively to assist others in the deployment of application-based patches.
Provides escalated support to Service Desk Teams, performing necessary problem-solving actions to ensure timely resolution to users.
Collaborates with other technology teams to solve problems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related area
5+ years of experience with current technical certifications
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of various enterprise and datacenter technologies including but not limited to; current Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco UCS, Windows server operating systems, clustering technologies, physical and virtual server infrastructure, and disaster recovery solutions
Ability to automate complex tasks through developing customized PowerShell or other scripts
Proven ability to serve as a project lead and facilitate open-ended technical discussions
Ability to architect high availability cluster technologies such as virtualization clusters
Serve as a technical resource to resolve difficult system troubleshooting requests
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.
