Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting accounting journal entries, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment, and completing account reconciliations across various financial statement areas
Prepare customer invoices and compile supporting documentation
Identify opportunities for process and system improvements to streamline accounts receivable and billing
Review and approve accounts payable vouchers, including coding and supporting documentation
Support external audit requests and provide required documentation
Assist with special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred; candidates with significant relevant accounting experience will be considered
4-7+ years of accounting experience
Experience in the government contracting industry preferred
Experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (primarily Excel).
