Design and develop high-quality real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara and Cascade systems
Collaborate closely with the art director, designers, and UE developer to bring the visual vision of a project to life
Optimize VFX assets for performance while maintaining visual quality across various platforms
Create shaders and materials using Unreal Engine’s Material Editor to support complex VFX systems
Integrate VFX into game environments, ensuring seamless interaction with characters and gameplay elements
Iterate based on feedback from team members, balancing artistic vision and technical limitations
Maintain documentation for workflows, tools, and best practices
Requirements
Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine, especially the Niagara VFX system
Solid understanding of particle systems, physics-based simulations, lighting, and post-processing effects
Experience with shader development and material creation in Unreal Engine
Familiarity with game development pipelines and performance optimization
Knowledge of 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Houdini is a plus
Artistic eye for motion, color, composition, and timing
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Good written and spoken English
