Role Overview
- Manage a hybrid team of analysts and engineers
- Oversee the vulnerability management lifecycle
- Ensure Security Engineering builds necessary preventive/detective controls
- Drive the 'Automation and AI' mindset in the team
- Serve as the escalation point for incidents
- Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure to integrate security
- Translate technical projects and operational risks into business context
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience in Security Engineering or Operations
- Professional working knowledge of AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Postgres
- Experience building or maturing a vulnerability management program
- Passionate about leveraging AI in security
- Ability to analyze security metrics (MTTR, vulnerability burn-down rates)
- Proven ability to manage upward effectively
- Experience identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
- Deep familiarity with SaaS environments and evidencing controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR
- Strong ability to communicate technical risk to non-technical stakeholders
