Supervise and manage high-priority quality improvement initiatives within the Ohio Department of Medicaid’s State Directed Payment (SDP) IMPACT program.
Drive the research and administrative efforts necessary to align hospital performance with statewide health goals.
Manage the quality improvement and administrative efforts of project team members.
Maintain relationships with project sponsors and external partners.
Draft technical reports and stakeholder communications.
Actively review, utilize and report back on quality improvement data to regional project teams to make recommendations on opportunities for improvement.
Provide subject matter expertise on quality improvement and/or health policy.
Utilize quality improvement science methodology to support project-related implementation and technical assistance.
Internal staff coaching and mentorship.
Review change packages and key driver diagrams.
Support the construction of process metrics.
Review and edit external work products including marketing and dissemination materials, QI resources, and project reports.
Coach on QI tools.
Identify synergies between regional activities to support collaborative efforts and better disseminate the understanding and adoption of high reliability interventions.
Basic data analysis and construction of data visualizations, with data analysis software, including Excel, etc.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
A minimum of six years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience with a master's degree is required.
Requires successful completion of a background check.
Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Advanced degree in relevant field (desired qualification).
Industry knowledge in quality improvement science including but not limited to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series Model, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or Lean Tools is strongly preferred.
