About this role
Role Overview
Development of safety-critical control software for machines in concrete technology (e.g., truck-mounted concrete pumps, concrete mixer trucks)
Software development and documentation according to the V‑Model
Static code analysis and participation in code reviews
Execution of module and integration tests (SIL/HIL)
Preparation of parameter, configuration and setup documentation
Support during commissioning and validation on the machine
Fault analysis as well as definition and implementation of corrective actions
Third-level support for service and production
Maintenance of control software across the entire product lifecycle
Collaboration with hardware and software suppliers
Contribution to system design and interface specifications
Development of test software and test rigs
Partial administration of the software toolchain
Close cross-functional cooperation (technical testing, production, service)
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a comparable qualification
Very good programming skills in C/C++
Experience with PLC and PC-level languages is an advantage
Several years of experience in embedded software development
Experience with common software toolchains (e.g., Jira, Git, SVN, Jenkins, Doxygen)
Basic knowledge of common bus systems (CAN, CANopen, J1939)
Understanding of development processes and agile methods
Knowledge of functional safety (IEC 61508, EN ISO 13849) is an advantage
Experience with controls for mobile working machines or vehicle electrical systems desirable
Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
Strong team and communication skills
