Developing conceptual and detailed designs for new builds, renovations, or extensions.
Preparing detailed reports, specifications, and drawings.
Working closely with architects and other engineering disciplines (MEP, Civil).
Advising on appropriate construction materials (e.g., steel, concrete, timber).
Experience in managing a team on delivery of a project including review of deliverables by the team.
Mentoring Junior Engineers and BIM modellers on the functional Engineering aspects.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in the structural design works for building structures (concrete and steel).
Strong knowledge on structural behaviours and decision making proficiency on structural framing and analysis.
Proficiency in software like Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis, or ETABS.
Basic knowledge of Autodesk revit, BIM 360, Projectwise and functional level skills on navisworks or revitzo.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
Preferred candidates working toward or holding Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
