Configure, deploy, and monitor batch jobs and job chains in Redwood RunMyJobs, following team standards and best practices.
Handle day-to-day scheduling tasks: job creation, modifications, calendar updates, dependency management, and user requests.
Monitor batch execution, identify failures, perform first
and second-level troubleshooting, and escalate to senior engineers when needed.
Build and maintain scheduling workflows for SAP and non-SAP applications under senior guidance.
Contribute to automation initiatives: scripting repetitive scheduling tasks, building reusable workflow templates, improving operational tooling.
Document configurations, procedures, and runbooks; keep the knowledge base up to date.
Participate in release cycles, change management, and testing of scheduling changes.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in IT operations, application support, or batch scheduling.
Working knowledge of at least one batch scheduling tool — Redwood RunMyJobs preferred, but experience with SAP CPS, Control-M, Tivoli, AutoSys, or native SAP SM36/SM37 is valuable.
Familiarity with SAP environments — understanding of background jobs, basic Basis concepts, or transports.
Basic scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) and willingness to grow them.
Understanding of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows) at user level.
Solid troubleshooting mindset and ability to dig into logs and documentation.
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
