About this role
Role Overview
Develop your expertise in handling and investigating complex claims
Handle genuine claims through a proactive, best practice approach
Actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’
Proactively identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims
Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders and brokers, experts, and clients' lawyers
Build effective relationships with internal and external customers
Provide support to Team Managers and deputy in their absence
Assist with monitoring market/industry practices in claims handling
Requirements
Knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for Workers' Compensation
Specialist knowledge of Workers' Compensation technical claims topics is preferred
At least some experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration
Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
Lateral thinking and the ability to problem solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices
Strong communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills.
