Risk and Compliance Officer

Role Overview

• Lead all MFSA and Central Bank of Malta regulatory reporting and relationship management
• Prepare board-level compliance and risk reports for directors and executive stakeholders
• Own and evolve Windcave's risk and compliance frameworks in Malta, aligned with global standards
• Keep policies, procedures and controls current, effective and well-embedded across the business
• Act as local Data Protection Officer, partnering with the global DPO on GDPR compliance
• Manage internal and external audits and regulatory reviews end-to-end
• Build a compliance-aware culture through training and day-to-day support for local teams

Requirements

• 3–5+ years in a compliance or risk role within financial services — payments
• Solid working knowledge of MFSA regulations and BoM reporting requirements
• Proven track record of managing regulators and handling audits independently
• Strong written and verbal English; Maltese is a welcome bonus
• Good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection obligations
• Relevant qualification in law, compliance, finance or business (CAMS, ICA, or law degree advantageous)
