Work closely with the Executive Board, especially CEO and CFO, the IT management team and the business units to drive the strategic setup of operating models for the IT function to improve organizational clarity and cost efficiencies
Steer strategic initiatives and take over the technical management of projects with change management, governance implementation of transformation initiatives for the digital/IT function at ZEISS
Orchestrate senior stakeholder workshops, follow-up on progress of outcomes and break down high-level ideas into specific actions and cost levers
Support, control progress and challenge strategic direction of key initiatives within the digital/IT function to achieve the objectives of the larger business supporting function transformation
Work in a complex environment across many business units, country organizations and business supporting functions across the globe
Cooperate with the core team of a larger business supporting transformation program and the business units to evaluate new fields of technology, improve organization efficiency and effectiveness
Develop trend-setting decision papers and have an impact in the strategic development of ZEISS' core digital capabilities
Requirements
An outstanding degree in natural sciences, engineering or business administration with a PhD or MBA
At least several years of professional experience within one of the leading management consultancies, experience in large transformation programs for business supporting function (esp. for IT/digital) is a plus
Experience in (business) transformation and large-scale change projects in complex organizations
Outstanding analytical competence, strategic thinking and implementation skills
Passion for innovation, business development and enthusiasm for new technologies
Very strong soft skills and empathy to lead multiple stakeholders through organizational change
Enjoy working in an agile way in networked and interdisciplinary teams
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; fluent in German is a strong plus
