Define the overall strategy for the digital workspace migration program, including objectives, scope, and expected outcomes, aligned with business and IT vision
Develop detailed plans for each project within the program, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation and key milestones, focusing on enabling teams
Identify interdependencies between projects and proactively manage risks, developing mitigation and contingency plans to minimize impact on end users
Act as the primary facilitator, ensuring technical (infrastructure, security, desktop engineering, user support) and business teams have the resources, information and alignment needed to execute migration activities
Monitor project progress against plans, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the responsible teams
Manage the full lifecycle of workspace migrations, from discovery and analysis, planning, execution, user validation, and post-migration support (hypercare), ensuring a smooth transition
Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans, with particular attention to business continuity and user experience during and after migration
Actively manage issues, escalating when necessary and ensuring effective resolution with technical teams
Ensure compliance with security policies, data privacy and relevant regulations related to the digital workplace
Communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders, including senior management, technical team leads, user support teams and end users
Prepare and present progress reports, status updates, risks, performance metrics and the migration’s impact on users
Manage stakeholder expectations, build consensus and ensure alignment
Ensure the quality of deliverables and post-migration functionality through robust test plans (UAT) and validation of the user experience
Conduct post-migration reviews and lessons learned to improve future programs and processes, focusing on continuous improvement of the digital workplace experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing large-scale, complex IT programs or projects, with proven program leadership
Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in digital workspace migration programs, including: operating system migrations (e.g., Windows 7/10 to Windows 11); migrations or rollouts of productivity suites (e.g., Office to Microsoft 365, G Suite to Google Workspace); endpoint management, user profiles and user data
Proven experience in IT project management with a focus on enabling support and coordination—empowering technical and business teams to perform their tasks, removing impediments and ensuring integration of activities
Knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
Familiarity with digital workspace architectures, endpoint management, identity and access (IAM), and information security applied to the end user
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, Confluence)
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification
