Role Overview
- We are looking for a Finance Director based in Ecuador to lead the financial operations of Devsu, while acting as a strategic partner to leadership.
- This is not a traditional accounting role. You will act as a senior financial leader, owning financial visibility, planning, and decision support across the company, and serving as a key partner to leadership in shaping the business.
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and helping shape the financial direction of the business, balancing execution with strategy.

- Financial Operations & Compliance
- Own the monthly close process across entities
- Oversee preparation of:
- Balance Sheet
- Profit & Loss (P&L)
- Cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with:
- Ecuadorian accounting, tax, and labor regulations (primary)
- U.S. GAAP
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors in both, US and Ecuador jurisdictions
- Strategic Finance & Decision Support
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Build and maintain financial models to support growth decisions
- Provide insights on:
- Profitability by client / service line
- Cost structure and margin optimization
- Cash flow and capital allocation
- Support leadership in strategic initiatives (pricing, expansion, efficiency)
- Identify risks and opportunities proactively
- Business Optimization
- Design and implement cost control and financial discipline frameworks
- Improve financial processes, reporting clarity, and internal controls through automation and AI.
- Support cross-border structure optimization and tax efficiency (in coordination with advisors)
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles, with increasing responsibility
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ecuadorian accounting and tax regulations (required)
- U.S. GAAP (working knowledge required)
- Experience managing multi-entity or international financial operations
- Proven experience in financial planning, modeling, and analysis (FP&A)
- Strong business acumen—ability to connect numbers to decisions
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Nice to Have (Bonus Points)
- Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in company valuations (DCF, comparables, transaction support)
- Background in software / tech services companies
- Experience supporting executive teams or founders directly
- Exposure to M&A, fundraising, or financial structuring
