Work closely with internal stakeholders, to ensure that client needs are understood and met with a variety of analytical resources.
Provide consultative leadership and statistical direction. Communicate client needs to the director and team members.
Lead complex research and analysis projects on key policy issues, proactively identifying areas for investigation and delivering evidence-based insights to senior executives and external partners.
Take responsibility for analytical work in areas such as student enrolment, student success, faculty and staff workloads, university finances, and more.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the department’s data resources, ensuring high-quality, accessible information for strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in social science or a related discipline, with expertise in statistical research and analysis.
3-5 years of experience in the analysis of educational or university issues, or in a related social science field.
Advanced knowledge of statistical methods and analytical tools. Experience in programming languages, SQL, R, Python, and presentation tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new programming languages and technologies as they arise.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular, the ability to present complex results to senior audiences in an easy to understand manner.
Proven ability to lead and work in teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across departments.
Strong initiative, creativity, and independence in designing and executing research projects.
