Role Overview
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review and validate timesheets, wages, bonuses, and deductions
- Ensure correct calculation of taxes, withholdings, and other payroll deductions
- Maintain payroll records and update employee data in payroll systems
- Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
- Reconcile payroll reports and quickly resolve discrepancies
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues promptly
- Support audits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and direct deposits
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
Requirements
- 1–3 years of payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and tax withholdings
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms
- High attention to detail with proven accuracy under deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
