Telecom Analyst Mid-Level – Radio Frequency Engineering

Role Overview

• Analyze network indicators both systemically and on a case-by-case basis, identifying opportunities to improve coverage, capacity and quality across 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G.
• Perform analyses using network data (PM/CM/FM).
• Identify network behavior patterns considering municipality, bands, frequencies, technologies and traffic profile in an automated way (clustering, classification, etc.).
• Work on RF optimization activities, performing technical analyses, proposing adjustments and contributing to improved network performance (e.g., features, parameters).
• Support network projects on practical RF engineering aspects, including the definition of physical and logical data for new network elements.
• Communication skills: interact with engineering team members and partner areas, proposing technical solutions or referring issues for specialized handling when necessary.
• Monitor and measure the results of network changes after implementation, evaluating the impact and effectiveness of actions taken.
• Use analytical and data visualization tools to increase productivity and replicate analyses, such as Power BI, Python and R.
• Analyze technical reports and support the development of new optimization solutions and continuous network improvement.
• Ability to analyze Drive Tests and Walk Tests.
• Knowledge of Layer 3 radio messages for network optimization.
• Knowledge of Huawei networks.
• Integrate different data sources (KPIs, CM/PM data, drive/walk tests, crowdsourced data, GIS analyses) for evidence-based decision making, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Practical experience in the activities described is preferred, with an emphasis on automation and new ways of analyzing data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed (or expected to be completed in 2026) in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related areas.
• Solid knowledge of RF concepts, coverage, capacity and quality in mobile networks.
• Experience analyzing network indicators and interpreting KPIs.
• Experience using Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Intermediate knowledge of Python and/or R applied to data analysis.
• Familiarity with RF network optimization processes and providing technical support for RF engineering projects.
