Developing technical skillset relating to industry best practice on verification/auditing as well as schemes compliance requirements (CfD, LCHA etc)
Ensuring assurance services meet industry standards to achieve/maintain UKAS accreditation. This includes maintaining critical documentation, risk management & process improvement.
Conducting planning and support of verification activities; interacting with producers, emitters and generators (PEGs) to establish measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) procedures and reviewing compliance data.
Working with internal teams to provide MRV guidance on upcoming schemes.
Maintain & improve team documentation including ensuring process, quality management systems and confluence pages are up to date & effective.
Planning activities & support for Managers in verification of compliance against scheme requirements (Biomass Sustainability, Low Carbon Hydrogen Standards, Hydrogen & CCS Metering)
Review assurance services against appropriate ISO standards and work with SME to implement process changes to ensure compliance.
Supporting Data Collection team by providing SME information on the standards to ensure HES is fit for purpose.
Requirements
1-12+ months experience working in Risk, Compliance Change Analyst roles, Sustainability standards or Governance (e.g. documentation or process management)
And/Or Bachelors Degree in a STEM subject or alternative showing analytical thinking, problem-solving, or technical understanding relevant to the role.
Organisational Skills: this role will manage metering obligations for multiple different contracts at once as well as multiple different stakeholders. Maintaining an organised system is key to being an effective service to the business.
Ability to understand complex concepts and discuss with stakeholders at different levels of understanding.
Ambition to deliver excellence across government support schemes.
