Define the system architecture (equipment and air distribution concept) based on customer requirements
Perform the computational design of the system and select/specify the main components
Carry out system-relevant calculations such as heat load, pressure losses, energy balance, system operating points, etc.
Defend the system design before the customer
Provide technical advice to the team regarding system engineering issues
Support the preparation and execution of type tests in the climate chamber, initial commissioning, and acceptance of the HVAC system on the vehicle
Prepare appropriate documentation for the customer
Play a major role in proposal preparation by commenting on customer requirements and developing corresponding concepts including sizing

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field (University or University of Applied Sciences)
Proven experience with topics in thermodynamics and mechanics
Solid knowledge in refrigeration technology, fluid dynamics and acoustics
Basic knowledge of control engineering
Familiarity with relevant standards in the rail vehicle sector
Very good foreign language skills (at least English, spoken and written; contract-level proficiency)
Strong presentation skills, conflict resolution and time management
Technical and commercial analytical skills
