Role Overview
Spearhead sourcing and procurement strategy across diverse categories
Oversee a Category Specialist and serve as the central hub of procurement excellence
Develop and implement category plans aligned with The Salvation Army's objectives
Ensure optimal value realization while managing procurement risks
Optimize procurement processes and drive efficiencies across category portfolio
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) or equivalent designation preferred
3–5 years of category management experience, ideally within the non-profit sector
Demonstrate expertise managing complex, high-spend, high-risk procurement categories
Lead sourcing activities with proven experience running RFPs, drafting contracts, and delivering measurable savings and KPI targets
Apply strong project management capabilities to plan, execute, and deliver procurement initiatives successfully
Utilize advanced analytical, financial, and commercial acumen to inform decision-making and optimize outcomes
Leverage strong organizational, ethical, and risk management skills while using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database tools
