About this role
Role Overview
- Design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines
- Review of design requirements, site investigations, calculations, and modelling
- Oversight of drafting and the preparation of reports and specifications
- Building strong client relationships and providing solutions to clients both off and on site
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipeline) design
- Experience in managing packages on small to medium engineering design projects
- Provision of specialist knowledge, technical review and advice and technical leadership in your area of expertise
- Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
- Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks
- A commitment to working safely, and within the company’s HSEQ systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and a broad range of audiences
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
