Drive quality assurance for civil components of substation projects, ensuring designs meet safety and performance standards
Collaborate with other technical disciplines for complex multidisciplinary projects
Oversee bid and construction package development, maintaining alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
Act as lead engineer on client projects, providing technical oversight and ensuring deliverables exceed expectations
Represent Leidos in client-facing engagements such as kick-off meetings, lunch-and-learns, and industry events
Conduct site visits to projects including new developments, substation facilities, transmission lines, and more, applying field insights to strengthen design and execution
Champion quality control and safe work practices, embedding compliance and reliability into every project.
Participate in coaching, guiding and reviewing work of less experienced team members, fostering technical growth and a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
Minimum of 7 years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
Proven Experience as an engineer of record or lead engineer on projects performing QC reviews
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
Experience with Hydraflow and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
Ability to execute projects and handle client interaction successfully with limited supervision
Experience with high-voltage substation projects is highly preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools
Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
